# dsh-web-desktop [中文](README.zh.md) `dsh-web-desktop` provides an Electron launcher for an existing Web profile. It does not create or copy a profile. The launcher locates its bundled overlay and starts Electron with the same Web profile, plugin list, and configuration without modifying DSH core. ## Benefits - **One more way to work:** keep the `pnpm dsh web` browser entry while adding a dedicated Electron window. - **Web and desktop stay aligned:** both entries use the same Web profile, installed plugins, sessions, model settings, and `cordis.patch.yml`. - **Non-invasive extension:** install it only as a profile bundle and launcher; it changes no DeepSeek Harness core, agent loop, or Web UI code. - **Follow DSH updates:** the launcher still starts the Web profile through the current local `pnpm dsh`; after updating DeepSeek Harness, it reuses the updated Web implementation and installed plugins. ## Install Install it into the existing Web profile: ```sh pnpm dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-web-desktop ``` DSH appends this bundle to the Web profile; it stays disabled during normal `dsh web` launches. ## Run ```sh pnpm dsh plugin --profile web exec dsh-web-desktop ``` `pnpm dsh web` continues to use the browser; the launcher command uses Electron. Both use the same Web profile. ```sh pnpm dsh plugin --profile web exec dsh-web-desktop -- --port 8080 ``` Arguments after `--` are forwarded to the Web profile; the launcher always adds its overlay and `--no-open`. ## Scope This first release is a desktop mode bundle, not a native IPC client. The DSH Web Host continues to provide the existing HTTP and WebSocket carriers. Closing Electron leaves the Web Host running, just as closing a normal browser tab does. Electron must remain compatible with the active DeepSeek Harness installation. ## Development ```sh pnpm install pnpm test pnpm build pnpm pack:check ``` ## License MIT
Install
dsh plugin --profile web add github:ningbonb/dsh-web-desktop
Profile: web
With the hub plugin installed, ask your agent to install it by name — it resolves the same plan shown here.
dsh plugin --profile web add github:stvlynn/dsh.fish#path:packages/dsh-plugin-hub
install dsh-web-desktop from the hub
- This package builds from source on install. pnpm will ask you to allow its build script — that is permission to run the package’s code on your machine, outside the agent sandbox. Only allow sources you trust.
- This source has no pinned commit, so a later push upstream changes what installs. Prefer pinning a commit.
