# Conservative Code Edits [](https://skills.sh/addxing/conservative-code-edits) An agent skill for keeping code changes small, scoped, and project-safe. Works with any AI coding tool that supports skills. ## Install ```bash npx skills add addxing/conservative-code-edits ``` ### DeepSeek Harness This repo follows the DeepSeek Harness (DSH) Skill format. Clone it into a skills directory and it will be auto-discovered: ```bash # User-level install (available in all projects) git clone https://github.com/addxing/conservative-code-edits ~/.dsh/skills/conservative-code-edits # Project-level install (current project only) git clone https://github.com/addxing/conservative-code-edits .dsh/skills/conservative-code-edits ``` DSH hot-reloads the skills directory after cloning; the skill becomes available in new sessions. Or install it as an official bundle plugin in one line (requires pnpm; restart the web app afterwards): ```bash dsh plugin --profile web add "github:addxing/conservative-code-edits#main" ``` ## Usage After installing the skill, ask your AI coding tool to use it when changing code in an existing project: ```text Use $conservative-code-edits to make this UI change. ``` You can also rely on automatic triggering when the task involves editing project code, resources, configuration, tests, or documentation. ## What It Does This skill guides an agent to: - make the smallest necessary code change - preserve existing architecture and implementation style - avoid unrelated refactors and formatting churn - ask before editing shared foundation code - use dynamic color resources when a project supports dark mode ## Files - `SKILL.md` - the skill instructions - `LICENSE.txt` - Apache 2.0 license
