# AI SaaS Deal Finder for DeepSeek Harness
A host-only DSH plugin that helps users find the **cheapest legitimate AI/SaaS purchase option that actually applies to them**.
It is designed for region-sensitive purchases: the cheapest advertised coupon is not necessarily usable in the user's country, by their account type, with their payment method, or under the service's current policy.
## What it does
When a user asks how to buy an AI/SaaS service more cheaply, the plugin teaches the Harness agent to:
1. research current pricing and promotion evidence using the host's available web/search tools;
2. verify region, buyer identity, payment, invoice/tax and service-policy constraints;
3. normalize viable offers to a comparable 12-month cost;
4. call the deterministic `ai_saas_deal_rank` tool;
5. return the cheapest verified usable option, with conditional alternatives clearly labeled.
The plugin does **not** ship a stale coupon database and does **not** claim a promotion works merely because a search result mentions it.
## China-aware behavior
For mainland-China users, the workflow explicitly checks:
- official service availability;
- account and geographic eligibility;
- accepted payment methods;
- invoice/receipt requirements;
- regional restrictions and renewal terms;
- whether a purchase route conflicts with service terms.
It will not recommend fake billing addresses, account trading, VPN/region spoofing, or other policy-circumvention methods.
## Tool
### `ai_saas_deal_rank`
Ranks researched candidate offers after applying deterministic eligibility and cost checks.
Each offer can include:
- `title`, `sourceUrl`, `sourceType`
- `currency`, `billingPeriod`, `billingMonths`
- `priceBeforeDiscount`, `priceAfterDiscount`
- `discountPercent`, `fixedDiscount`
- `taxRatePercent`, `fees` / `annualFees`
- `fxRateToTarget`
- `regionStatus`, `identityStatus`, `paymentStatus`, `invoiceStatus`, `policyStatus`
- `verifiedAt`
Status values: `eligible`, `ineligible`, `unknown`, or `not_required` where appropriate.
The tool returns `verified`, `conditional`, and `excluded` groups and ranks usable offers by normalized annual cost.
## Install from GitHub
After this repository is pushed to GitHub:
```bash
dsh plugin --profile web add github:OWNER/REPO
```
Then restart `dsh web` and start a new conversation.
The Git source runs the package `prepare` script. This repository's `prepare` step uses only Node.js built-ins and copies the checked source into `lib/`; it does not require a TypeScript compiler or external build dependency.
## Local development
```bash
npm test
npm run check
```
Local install:
```bash
dsh plugin --profile web add /absolute/path/to/ai-saas-deal-finder-dsh
```

## Privacy and permissions
- No API key required by this plugin.
- No telemetry.
- No local file scanning.
- No checkout or purchase execution.
- No external server operated by this plugin.
- Current deal discovery depends on the search/web capabilities available in the host agent.
## Marketplace preparation
Before submitting the GitHub repository to a DSH/SkillHub plugin catalog:
1. make the repository public;
2. add the GitHub topic `dsh-plugin`;
3. run `npm run check`;
4. test a Git install with `dsh plugin --profile web add github:OWNER/REPO`;
5. tag the first release, e.g. `v0.3.0`.

Install
dsh plugin --profile web add github:ShenXuAkaEkstasis/dsh-ai-saas-deal-finder
Profile: web
With the hub plugin installed, ask your agent to install it by name — it resolves the same plan shown here.
dsh plugin --profile web add github:stvlynn/dsh.fish#path:packages/dsh-plugin-hub
install dsh-ai-saas-deal-finder from the hub
- This package builds from source on install. pnpm will ask you to allow its build script — that is permission to run the package’s code on your machine, outside the agent sandbox. Only allow sources you trust.
- This source has no pinned commit, so a later push upstream changes what installs. Prefer pinning a commit.
